Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the club’s main meeting of the year and an important part of how the club is run. It gives members the opportunity to hear how the club has been operating, review its finances, and take part in decisions about its future.
At the AGM the Managing Committee presents the club’s annual report and financial accounts. This allows members to see how the club has performed over the past year and how it has been managed.
The AGM is also the meeting where members can ask questions, raise points, and better understand how the club operates. It’s a chance to speak directly with the committee, hear about plans for the future, and take an active interest in the running of the club.
Getting Involved
Members are encouraged to attend the AGM and take part in the life of the club. If you would like a specific matter to be formally discussed at the meeting, you can submit a motion to the secretary at least seven days before the AGM, and it will be added to the meeting agenda in line with the club rules.
The AGM also begins the process for committee elections, giving members the opportunity to become more involved in the running of the club by standing for election to the Managing Committee.
